The Department of Mechanical Engineering is pleased to announce the following:

1) Audun Myers' recently published a paper in Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, titled "On the Automatic Parameter Selection for Permutation Entropy," was chosen as the Editor's Pick for the March Issue of the journal. Audun is a second year PhD student in Dr. Khasawneh's group, and this is his second paper as a first author.

2) Melih Yesilli, a second year PhD student in Dr. Khasawneh's group, recently published a paper as a first author titled "On transfer learning for chatter detection in turning using wavelet packet transform and ensemble empirical mode decomposition" in CIRP Journal of Manufacturing Science and Technology.

3) Joshua Tempelman, a second year PhD student currently working with Dr. Khasawneh, recently published a paper as a first author titled "A look into chaos detection through topological data analysis" in Physica D: Nonlinear Phenomena.
